2nd Technology · meat specialty

Fresh meat, for weeks.

Our second technology is built for meat. The refrigerator does the cooling; a high-voltage electric field keeps the water inside the meat from turning into ice. So beef, lamb, and chicken can be held just below 0 °C and still be sold as fresh, not frozen, for weeks instead of days. It fits into existing cold rooms, reefers, and trucks. It isn't part of our current pilot.

Lab-tested · chicken

After 16 days under the field, chicken measured a freshness marker (TVB-N) of 8.88 mg/100 g, well inside China's 15 mg/100 g limit for fresh poultry.

Lab-tested · beef, by sea

Japanese beef shipped 27+ days by sea to Dubai arrived at 96,000 CFU/g, against a 500,000 limit, with no pathogens detected.

Day counts are developer-reported. Lab results from an accredited food-testing lab in China (2024) and an international inspection lab in the UAE (2023). Not yet tested on U.S. meat.

Why it matters

What it changes for meat.

Sold as fresh, not frozen

Freezing damages texture and drip-loss lowers yield. Meat held this way keeps its fresh grade and price.

Less shrink and markdown

Longer shelf life means fewer discounted and discarded cuts for packers, distributors, and stores.

Ship by sea, not air

Weeks of fresh life let chilled meat travel by slower, cheaper routes to farther markets.

No ice forms

A simplified illustration. With the field on, food can be held below freezing without turning to ice, so it keeps its fresh quality. Switch the field off to see the difference.
